Wildlife Rescue (Asian Barred Owlet)

Me and my friends, Vivek & Neeraj went to a nature walk on 25th Jan, near Aamdanda (Bijrani Zone Gate), suddenly we've got a call from our friend that he has found an owl near Teda Village. Teda is a very rich forest area and now-a-days tiger sighting is very good there. We went to Teda Forest area where we found that it was an injured Asian Barred Owlet and it's left eye is damaged. We took it to Corbett Tiger Reserve Office and handed over the owlet to them. The doctor did the basic treatment on the spot and gives it to the department officer for further treatment...

Local Treks near Corbett Tiger Reserve

Our team organizes a number of local treks which are used by local villagers or were used by Britishers during their ruling period...

1. THE KALIGAAD TREK

This Trek was used by a Kumaouni Prince who was searching a girl who comes in his dreams every night. He walked from Kumaon to Bhutan using this trek. That time their was a river stream which he passed during his journey, its name was KALIGAAD (gaad= stream) that's why this trek was named
THE KALIGAAD TREK...

2. MAN EATER OF MOHAAN TREK

This trek was used by the legendary Hunter turned Conservationist Sir Jim Corbett while he was in search of Man Eater of Mohaan. Now a days local villagers frequently use this trek

Kedarnath Dham Yatra

RAINBOW FRIEND’S TOUR OF KEDARNATH

On 2nd June 2009 we a group of 7 Rainbow Friends went on the journey to Kedarnath. We took a Gypsy for our journey. The Director Of Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve & Conservator of Forest, Respected Mr. Paramjeet Singh Ji invited us for a Plastic and Polythene Removal Program in Kedarnath Valley from 03 to 05 June 2009. On our way to Kedarnath we also passed through from some famous places such as: Karanprayag, Rudraprayag, Adi Badri, Gauchar, Gairsain, Guptkashi, Sonprayag, Gauri Kund etc. On first night we stayed at Rudraprayag. Next morning we moved forward to Sitapur, two kilometers before Sonprayag, where Mr. Paramjeet ji was waiting for us. We stayed at Hotel J.P.G. Palace, Sitapur for next two days and did some plastic and polythene removal activities. On 5th June we started our 14 km. trek to Kedarnath from Gauri Kund. We started our trek at 12 noon but we reached Kedarnath little late at about 7:30 p.m. due to heavy rain and light snowfall on the way. On next morning after worshipping in the Kedarnath Temple we started our journey back to Sitapur at about 10:30 a.m. After reaching Sitapur we picked our bags, took our gypsy and went to Gopeshwar. We went to the residence of Mr. Paramjeet Singh Ji. Next evening we went to see the famous Gopinath Temple with him. On 8th of June we came back to Ramnagar at about 8:30 p.m. This journey was so beautiful that I can’t express my feelings in words. Only I can say is that “FEEL THE SCENIC BEAUTY OF UTTARAKHAND (LAND OF GODS).”
